World-Class Standing: Celebrated for its striking, expressive floral and fruity flavor profile, coffees from this estate are frequently featured in competition blends and routines by World Barista Championship (WBC) competitors.
Chiroso
Origin & Genetics: Originated in Urrao, Antioquia, Colombia. DNA sequencing has confirmed it belongs to the Ethiopian Landrace lineage.
Growing Conditions: Thrives in cool, high-altitude microclimates, developing optimal quality between 1,800 and 2,200 meters. The resulting green coffee is notably dense and hard.
Market Status: A frequent winning variety in the Colombia Cup of Excellence (COE) and a highly sought-after competition varietal in recent World Brewers Cup (WBrC) routines.
